Books Read while Travelling
- The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini - Highly Recommended.
- Self by Yann Martel - Recommended (caution: not for everyone).
- A Short History of the 20th Century by Geoffrey Blainey - Not Recommended.
- One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez - Imaginatively Dull (caution: not for everyone).
- End of an Era by Robert J. Sawyer - One of my favourite authors, but not one of his best books.
- Animal Farm by George Orwell - Highly Recommended.
- How the Mind Works by Steven Pinker - Interesting, but not for everyone.
- High Fidelity by Nick Hornby - Many a laugh to be found here. Highly Recommended.
- 1984 by George Orwell - Scary as hell. Recommended.
- Airframe by Michael Crichton - Good entertainment. Recommended.
- The Weather Makers by Tim Flannery - READ THIS BOOK!
- The Google Story by David Vise - Worth a read if (and only if) you like Google as Mr. Vise clearly worships it.
- Brave New World by Aldous Huxley - A classic for good reason. Read after 1984.
- State of Fear by Michael Crichton - Fictional book with interesting facts (all cited) on global warming. Recommended.
- What Do You Care What Other People Think? by Richard P. Feynman - Adventures of a Curious Character is better, but every Feynamn story is worth reading. Highly Recommended.
- Eragon by Christopher Paolini - The next Harry Potter? I usually don't care for fantasy, but this was pretty good.
- Mayada: Princess of Iraq by Jean Sasson - Interest look at Iraq under Saddam Hussein rule. Recommended.
- Travels by Michael Crichton - Not Recommended.
- Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card - Highly Recommended.
- The Stranger by Albert Camus - Not Recommended.
