Paula Perhentian, Malaysia

Claimed by many to be the world's best beach. I much enjoyed it even despite being stun by a jelly fish.

Jungle Train, Malaysia

The Jungle Train is a somewhat roundabout way to make ones way from Taman Negara to Paula Perhentian. This is especially true if you accidentally jump the mail train which stops in every small village along the way. After an hour or so of enduring this I devised a plan for us to bail from the mail train and catch the express train that was following behind. All told it cost us an extra $3, but saved us some 3 hours and moved us to a far more comfortable train. It may take longer, but I think the views the train provides makes it worth ones time. Besides, it is simply good fun to sit at the back of a train with the doors open and watch the jungle race by. The train conductor is even courteous enough to blow the horn whenever a tunnel or bridge is coming up so you know to duck you head back in the door.

Taman Negara, Malaysia

Taman Negara, which literally means "national park" in Malay, is Malaysia's largest national park covering 4,343 kmĀ².
